Its main ruler, Ukit Kan Lek Tok, gave it its splendor by commissioning buildings with murals and facades with impressive details that still endure today, such as those of his tomb in the main building. CULTURAL STOP & BUFFET MEAL: After visiting the archaeological site, we make a cultural stop where you will admire handcrafted stone art and watch the artisan at work. SWIMMING IN A CENOTE: To end this incredible adventure, enjoy a refreshing swim in an ancient cenote. These cenotes were and continue to be vital water sources for local communities.
